6/24 Session Six
The History of St. Charles. How did we get to be who and where we are today as St. Charles Anglican Parish? Also, what is the hierarchical design of the Anglican Church?
6/10 Session Four
Sacraments, Liturgy, and Liturgical design. Why are we a sacramental, liturgical church? Why are the traditions of liturgy and preparing the altar important? (This may be an instructional Eucharist with Fr. Mike Boone, Rector, St. Charles, or a video presentation: Nuts and Bolts of Liturgy)
5/20 Session Two
- Church history. What does dusty, old history of church councils and heresies have to do with us today?
- Reformation Theology. Why do we believe the way we do, and why is it important to keep what we believe safe from corruption?
We look forward to our upcoming Diocesan Retreats. Each year these retreats give us an opportunity to connect with others from around the Diocese while we learn and are refreshed together in community. Our registration deadlines are coming soon so we encourage you to secure your spot by registering today! The Women's Retreat is May 4-6. Click here for more details and to register.
Our hope this year for the Men's Retreat is to be able to spend time resting in, listening to, and returning to the Lord. We will pray and learn together but we will also have large amounts of time for resting and retreating as we grow in our relationships with one another and with God. We will not have a speaker brought in from outside this year, we will hear from those within our own Diocese during our weekend together. Click here to learn more.
